Dream Journal: 9. Double edged sword

It was weird. I had gone through sleep paralysis before, and quite a lot of times; it is common to experience it when you're starting to try to get back into lucid dreaming. But this time it was being different.

My right arm was the only thing I could move; my left arm was stuck under the blanket, paralyzed, unable to move. I couldn't even close my fist; it was as if my left arm was now nothing but a stone. This first fear struck right through my heart, accelerating it to levels unknown to me. And then it stopped completely.

I panicked; I desperately tried to feel my heartbeats with my right hand, trying to sense something by touching the part of my chest where the heart was supposed to be, rotating between that and the typical place of the neck they tell you to look at, but I could feel nothing. Was I having a heart attack?

That was the first thought that crossed my mind once I realized what was going on. I tried to get my hands onto my mobile phone with the intention of calling someone, be it the emergency number or my very own mother, but I couldn't, it was too far away and I couldn't wake up.

"Is this how I am going to die?" I asked to myself. "Alone in one of the darkest rooms that mankind can conceive? Would my last thoughts drown in the infinite silence that covered the night?"

No.

And then I wake up. Hours later, talking about this with X, a person that is quite close to me, a lot of information suddenly came up; a lot of horrible information.

I never got to know what would have been the consequences of such secrets coming to light, because that was when I actually woke up.

Dream Journal: 7. Politically incorrect

The meeting was one of the biggest I had ever attended. I was given a room for myself and, for no reason at all, my mother had chosen to bring my actual room into it. After some tedious talk, everyone started to spread and the characteristic noise of an informal chat between crowds took the place.

While I walked around the place, crossing Paula Church while walking,I found one that the big guy of the right-wing political party was calling me. I went to meet him, and after the typical greeting the real shit got out.

He started criticising the way T had dressed a long time ago, and even if I agreed that it had been strange, I pointed out that it didn't imply any lack of respect towards teachers or anyone in particular. The man repeated himself, now blatantly pointing out at various people I had met, criticising them all. "There's no point in talking with someone like you." I said. "Good luck and let me be.".

With a jump, I left the place, falling in the main square. I waked towards my room, only to find out that it was raining inside of it. Of course, it was raining outside and my room had been built in a rush, meaning that the horribly designed roof was full of holes and cracks that were letting fist-sized drops of water come in.

Dream Journal: 6. Not my carpet

He entered the room and asked me when would he be able to clean his clothes; mine were still hanging while I waited for them to dry out. I needen't answer; it was a dream. That's why I got back to sleep.

After a while I woke up; when looking at the floor I noticed a big sky-blue carpet on the floor; I had never had a carpet in my room, let alone of that colour. That was how, again, I noticed I was dreaming and decided to actually wake up.

When I woke up, there was no carpet; it was my room, as real as it could be. I looked at the watch and noticed that there where four hours left until the alarm clock woke me up, so I went back to sleep.

During those four hours I had three more dreams of which I can't remember nothing. I woke up after each of them, but I didn't check the time until the last one at 8.15. Fifteen minutes for the alarm to wake me up; I went back to sleep until the clock did its job.

Dream Journal: 5. It's forbidden.

I was explaining it to her, but there was no way for the girl to understand it. "Do you want me draw it?" I asked while picking the huge book she was reading. In a corner, where the graphic was, I pointed out some particular points by writing with my pen. "Do you understand it now?" I asked again. There was no need to answer; I had commited a foolish act.

I'd become a pariah, I'd be damned and condemned to the seven hells for doing something as cruel and horrible as that. I had used a pen on one of the bibliotheke's book.

Then I woke up.

Dream Journal: 4. Dream, Reality and Doubt.

We were all at home; the typical family day with good food, swimming pools, houses with no walls and a dog that I never knew (even though he looked quite familiar). After enjoying the moment for a while, I realized something; what I was living wasn't real.

What was it then? The Matrix? No way, that's just some sort of film thing... right? But if this is not the Matrix, then what?

After some thinking I realized; the details didn't match anything, I had to be dreaming. That was when I decided to kick the house down to debris. Starting with the stairs, I saw everything fall as easily as a cookie cracks when I want to break it before getting a half into my mouth. I was dreaming; in my mind I was powerful, and I'd do what I wanted with no consequences whatsoever.

But then I realized that everyone was staring at me way too seriously; what I was doing was not right. Their faces made me rethink my ways. They even forced me into reconsidering my reality. They forced me out of my idea; they strangled my creativity and forced me back into reality.

Only then, when I accepted that I wasn't dreaming, it ended.

Dream Journal: 3. The Restaurant

They were both driving me mad; I didn't really know what to do with them. When one left, the other one turned on me and did whatever she wanted. I needed to stop that. I needed to find somewhere safe. I hid in the bathroom and ran through every corridor there was; but I just couldn't escape them

That's how I got to the restaurant. My friends were eating there; I knew I would be safe sitting with them. They wouldn't come for me, not with protection. At least that's what I thought.

Dream Journal: 2. The Stairs and the Dinos

It was an egg; in the very moment I realized that, I threw it to the closes nest I saw, and in a second five of those dinosaurs were in front of us, having climbed the tower absurdly fast. Four looked like velociraptors, and the fifth one was a mix of a four legged raptor and a stegosaurus.

We pushed them down. They fell, they were hurt and they were angry and resentful. We all turned back and started climbing the towers' stairs towards... somewhere. Where were we going? I didn't really knon. I just knew that if I stopped climbing the stairs I would die at their teeth and claws. Armed with a scalpel and a fork, I turned them both head downs so that I wouldn't nail them into me if I fell.

I was nervous; my weapons wouldn't be enough if I needed to use them, and even if I heard nothing at all I knew that there were friends at my back being slow enough to be caught and forgotten. I started using my hands to climb the stairs faster, pushing myself up with them. But it didn't look elike it was enough. When I was starting to get tired, I heard the alarm.

It all ended there.

Dream Journal: 1. The Farm and the Croc

It was quite a strange farm. Lost in Catalunya, it had a lot of different animals living in strange conditions; crocodiles, sheeps, goats, lions and more. One of the weirdest animals I saw there was a rhino with 8 legs and something like shoulders for every pair; a long and fearsome creature that looked quite real to me. I had gone there with A and her friend A', and there also was A'' (a famous drumer).

A'' was about to bring us to a secret room of the place whose existence was ignored by most workers of the place. He left a second because he had to organize something and left us looking at the animals.

While we were strangely looking at the hand-made houses that the animals shared, a crocodile got out of one of them and bit my arm; he wouldn't let go, he stuck his teeth deeply and would only leave when Ishaked my arm endlessly and aggressively. Seeing that A and A' could not help me, I seeked the workers aid; they ignored me for a long time, most of them even running away from me.

It took really long to find someone who was eager to help me; I was about to shit on them telling those two guys how everyone had foolishly ignored me, but after a closer look I noticed that they were the first guys to run away when I called for help earlier; I needed the help desperately, so I just ignored the past and politely asked for help.

They called more servants and, together, we got the crocodile off of me; as a reminder now I have both arms covered in teeth-marks and half a piece of forearm lacking (luckily, there was no bleeding at all). When I was walking my way back to where I was with A and A', everything ended.
